Cat Art for a Cat Cause

Welcome to The Achille Project, an e-gallery of black cat related art created to promote animal rescue and adoption awareness.

Statistically, black cats are the least likely of feline varieties to be adopted, though they are known to have the sweetest natures. The Achille Project is created both in hommage to an exceptionally brave and purr-ific cat as well as an effort to curb the statistics of homeless black cats world-wide. Therefore, 45% of the proceeds from every item sold in The Project store is donated to animal and kitty rescue effortswhile tirelessly singing the praises of black felines everywhere.

The Achille Project began with a rescue kitty named Achille. (pronounced Ash-eel.) He's an especially cuddly, cute, well disposition-ed little fellow. After being rescued from abandonement in a creek, Achille was the last of his siblings to leave the animal shelter. He has a heart of gold and in no way carries "bad luck," in fact, he improved our family's life 100 fold by becoming a part of it.

Achille's charisma led to a sympathy of all homeless and under loved cats, (especially black kitties who have the lowest rate of adoption,) and inspired the creation of The Achille Project. Featuring his and other black kitties' cuteatude in a variety of prints and art paraphernalia from various contemporary artists, The Project donates 45% of its proceeds to feline rescue efforts.
